Melissa J. Love Jones, 47, of Hope

Melissa J. Love Jones, 47, of Hope, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Melissa has previously been employed as the Office Manager at 7k Farms. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and taking care of other people's children.

Born on July 16, 1972 in Columbus, Melissa was the daughter of Kenneth Love and Rita and John Stewart.

Survivors include children, Geoffrey Tyler Jones of Hope, Paytonn Jones of Columbus, Kelsee Jones, and Madyson Jones, both of Hope; parents, John and Rita Stewart of Hope; granddaughter, Avery Walls of Hope; and siblings, Belinda Wooten of Garner, NC, Eric Love of Hope, Sonia (Greg) Hill of West Lafayette, Dylan Jessie of North Vernon, Elizabeth Bowers of Columbus, Christian Woods, Gracie Black, Spencer Black, Karma Gahwiller, William McIntosh, and Alyssa McIntosh, all of Hope; and father of her children, Brian Jones.

Melissa is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Love; grandparents, Mike and Laura Mize; and aunt, Brenda Thayer.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
