Press Release

Heritage Fund announces a new campaign to grow assets of its Community Fund and increase grant-making capacity.

The Love Where You Live Campaign seeks to raise $100,000 to be invested for the long-term benefit of the community. Individuals as well as local businesses are encouraged to “Love Where You Live” with a donation to the campaign to support community initiatives.

Tracy Souza, HFBC president & CEO, said, “The Love Where You Live Campaign is about celebrating all the things that make our community a special place and about giving back so that we can continue to meet current and future needs.”

Thanks to the Lilly Endowment, donations to the fund will be matched $2 for every $1 donated – tripling the impact to the Community Fund (while matching funds remain).

The Community Fund is critical to addressing changing needs in the community. These funds are invested and annual returns allow Heritage Fund to address community needs as they arise. Community Fund grants since 1976 include rebuilding The Commons, pre-K initiatives, opioid abuse prevention and millions of dollars in support to our local nonprofit agencies.

Community members who make a donation to the campaign can stop by the Heritage Fund office at 538 Franklin St. to receive a T-shirt, tote bag, and/or poster featuring the exclusive design. Limited quantities are available.

Donations can be made in person at the Heritage Fund office, by mail to the address above or online at heritagefundbc.org. For more information, contact Kristin Munn, HFBC director of development, at 812-376-7772.
