Hope man arrested in child sex case

The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a sex offense involving a juvenile victim.
The suspect, Clemente Santiago Bautista, 24, Hope, IN, was interviewed Aug. 30th by Detective Dane Duke and Deputy Frank Munoz. The suspect confessed to the offense.
Bautista was arrested on the preliminary charge of child molesting as a level 1 felony and is currently in the Bartholomew County Jail.
All persons are considered innocent until/unless proven guilty in a court of law.
