Lewis J. Huntington, 89, of Hope

Lewis J. Huntington, 89, of Hope, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019 with his family by his side.

Lewis was employed as the manager of NAPA in North Vernon and Hoosier Parts. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hope and Hope Masonic Lodge 150.

Lewis enjoyed woodworking, gardening, camping, fishing, and working on cars. He also really enjoyed working.

Born on June 11, 1930 in Osgood, IN, Lewis was the son of Ira and Ada Lichtenberger Huntington. He married Neva Anderson and she preceded him in death in 1956. He then married Pauline Vincent in 1959, and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2017.

Survivors include grandson, Steven Huntington of Hartsville; grandsons, Kaden Huntington and Shawn VanSickle, both of Hartsville; and several nephews and nieces.

Lewis is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Neva; wife, Pauline; daughter, Nelva Huntington; and brothers, Ray, Glenn, and Lee Huntington.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. with a funeral service following with Pastor Dennis Chasteen officiating. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mud Pike Cemetery in Osgood, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
