Teen accused of voyeurism at Hauser

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Jessica Pendleton, School Resource Officer for Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corp., received a report that an 8th grade student had been recorded while using the restroom on Jan. 16th at about 1:33 p.m.

Deputy Pendleton, along with the school’s dean of students, reviewed school cameras and identified an 18-year-old student, Erik Coy, of Hartsville as the suspect.

Coy was arrested and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of voyeurism, a level 6 felony.

All persons are considered innocent unless/until proven guilty in a court of law.

BCSC SRO Deputy Teancum Clark assisted at the scene and Detective Terrence Holderness has been assigned to the investigation.
