Bartholomew Jail adds options for virtual visits

Bartholomew County Sheriff Matthew A. Myers says the Bartholomew County Jail is launching a new inmate video visitation program.

“The new HomeWAV system is easy, accessible and affordable and will allow family members and friends to schedule and conduct video visits with jail inmates” said Bartholomew County Sheriff Matthew A. Myers.

HomeWAV can be used for voice calls, video calls and video messaging through homewav.com, the Home WAV mobile app or by calling HomeWAV Visitor Support at 1-844-394-6639.

“Video visitation makes it even easier for people to connect with family and friends”, said Major John Martoccia, BCJ Jail Commander.

Follow these easy steps to visit from anywhere:

  1. Sign up at homewav.com
  2. Select a facility and inmate
  3. Add funds
  4. Wait for inmate to call

Telephone calls are 20-cents per minute. Remote (offsite) Video visits are 30-cents per minute. Video messaging (up to 500 characters) is 50-cents per minute.
