Linda Kay Wright, 68, of Columbus

Linda Kay Wright, 68, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her home.

Born on May 12, 1953 in Greensburg, Linda was the daughter of Boin and Jane Hornsby Cain. She married Joe H. Wright in May of 2002 and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2018.

Linda worked and retired from Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation.

She enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, boating, camping, and computer games. She enjoyed watching Judge Judy, the ID Channel, and LMN Channel. Linda also enjoyed cooking for her family and spoiling the grandkids.

Survivors include children, Donald (Tammy) Ames of Seymour, Christopher Ames of Columbus, Michael Ames of Columbus, Michelle (Brian) Foster of Hope, Brooklyn Ames of Columbus, Shandala Ames of Westport, Joseph (Jen) Wright of Seymour, Brandon Wright of Columbus, and Alisha Wright of Columbus; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Linda had 17 brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Rev. Eli Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Aerie Cemetery.
