Deck the Town Competition

For the third year Main Street of HOPE is once again sponsoring a Deck the Town Competition.   Nobody needs to enter, but nominations are welcome.   All homes in Hope town limits that are decorated for Christmas on or before Wednesday night, December 15, 2021, will be eligible to win the “major” prize.   Photos for those displays eligible for the contest will be posted on the Main Street of HOPE Facebook page by end of the day on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.  

To vote you only need to “Like” your favorite photo(s), but first you need to “Like” the Main Street of HOPE Facebook page in order to be eligible.   Then scroll through the beautiful photos and place your votes.  Voting will continue through Sunday, December 20, 2021, at 10:00 pm.   In case of a tie, the Main Street of HOPE committee will be the tiebreaker.   No photos will be posted for voting until December 15.  You do not need to live in the area to “vote”. 

The winning Christmas light display with the most “Likes” on the Main Street of HOPE Facebook page will be awarded a traveling “Leg Lamp”, modeled after the one made famous in the movie classic “The Christmas Story” with Ralphie and his Red Ryder BB gun.   The winners keep the Leg Lamp until mid-January and then we will put the lamp back in storage until next year.  The winners name and address will be put on a commemorative plaque, which will also travel with the lamp in the future.  Let the games begin!!
