Levatia Mae Rush, 85, of Flat Rock

Levatia Mae Rush, 85, of Flat Rock passed away Saturday December 18, 2021 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Born March 19, 1936 in Rushville, Mrs. Rush was the daughter of Elmer L. and Reba Warrick Hall. She married Robert Wayne Rush and they were married 67 years. He survives her.

Other survivors include children, Teresa (Darrell) Shinolt, David (Sandy) Rush, Darrell Rush and Kris Alvis; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a brother, John Hall.

Mrs. Rush owned and operated Flat Rock Grill and Grocery. She was a member of the Norristown Farmer’s Lodge Eastern Star.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to go on afternoon rides, go to rummage sales and flea markets. She loved gardening and canning items from her garden. She loved her flowers and feeding the birds and was an avid book reader. She loved camping and vacations in Florida.

A public graveside service for Mrs. Rush will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Pastor Janet Hodson officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Norman Funeral Home in Hope.

Mrs. Rush was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Reba Hall; a sister, Ruth Hall; brothers, Max and Chester Hall and a son, Jimmie Ray Rush.
