John Wayne Freeman, 52, of Hope
John Wayne Freeman, 52, of Hope, formerly of Cadiz, KY passed away Tuesday Jan. 26, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
John worked all of his life as a small engine mechanic and was owner and operator of S & J Small Engines. He was a Briggs and Stratton and steel certified master mechanic. John had recently been employed at Rural King in Shelbyville.
He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Cadiz, KY and the First Baptist Church Hartsville.
John was born Nov. 1, 1968 to the late Earl Wayne “Sonny” Freeman and Judy Carole Hall Freeman.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Sheryl Lynn McQueen Freeman of Hope; sons, Joshua David Freeman of Hope and Samuel Wayne Freeman of Columbus; his mother, Judy Carole Hall Freeman of Cadiz, KY; brothers, Robert Earl Freeman of Cadiz, KY and Stephen Scott Freeman of Peducah, KY; his father and mother in law, Clarence and Shelvy McQueen of Waldron; sister in law, Jenifer(David) Remnant and his beloved dog Lou Lou.
John was preceded in death by his father, Earl; his grandparents, Claude Huel and Mary Magdalene Freeman and Marvin Henry and Leander Creel Hall.
John was a beloved husband, father, son and brother.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
