Romantic Comedy Opening Friday February 12th
“Crossing Delancy” by Susan Sandler opens Friday February 12th at WILLow LeaVes of Hope with Gregory Andis directing and Connie Kiviniemi-Baylor producing in special arrangement with Samuel L. French.
Kiviniemi-Baylor says this sweet romantic comedy is about what truly makes a good life partner, how you can't judge a book by its cover, and how sometimes you have to put on a different hat to get a new perspective on life. It features a feisty grandmother (Bubbe), a modern granddaughter, a know-it-all matchmaker, an arrogant author, and a humble pickle vendor.
Bubbe (a Jewish grandmother with Russian ancestory), who believes it's time for her grown granddaughter Izzy to find a mate, thinks it's time to get Hannah the matchmaker involved. The author, Tyler Moss, says he needs Izzy, who has a crush on him; and the pickle man, Sam, who she doesn't even want to go out on a date with, wants her. Will sparks fly? If so, between whom?
Go see this delightful romantic comedy starring some of Bartholomew County's most dedicated actors. You're sure to enjoy the play and a delicious meal at WILLow LeaVes of Hope.
