Hope pair arrested in attack on pregnant woman

On February 5, 2021, approximately 9:04 p.m., Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1200 block of Mulberry Street, Taylorsville, IN, in reference to a reported domestic disturbance.
Autumn Purtlebaugh, 19, Hope, IN, and Ean Purtlebaugh, 18, Hope, IN, came, uninvited, to the residence on Mulberry Street and a physical confrontation ensued.
Ean Purtlebaugh allegedly battered and strangled a male resident and Autumn Purtlebaugh allegedly spat on and battered a pregnant female injuring her during the confrontation.
Autumn Purtlebaugh was arrested and taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:
- Burglary
- Battery on a pregnant female resulting in injury
- Battery in the presence of a minor
- Battery by bodily waste
Ean Purtlebaugh was arrested on preliminary charges of:
- Strangulation
- Domestic Battery
