Marchel Dean Elmore, 76, of Hope, went to meet his savior and the love of his life on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 3:30 p.m.

Marchel was born on March 26, 1944 in Barren County, Kentucky. He was welcomed to this life by his loving parents, Murrell and Pearl Magaline Elmore. On March 26, 1962, he married the love of his life, Rosie Christine Trobaugh.

He retired from Arvins Industries after many years of service. Marchel was a southern gospel minister for over 50 years. His ministry has led countless souls to Christ our Lord. Marchel loved people and never met a stranger. He always put God first in his life. He loved fishing with his wife. They would often compete against each other on the lake bank even though Marchel would always be helping Rosie with her bait or throwing her pole.

Marchel and Rosie loved their family. Their grandkids and great-grandkids were very close to them.

Survivors include his daughter, Denna (John) Hendrix of Hope; granddaughters, Christina (Tim) Elmore-Green of Hope, Alisha (Steve) Robinson of Hope, Hannah (Eric) Moody of Hope, Michelle (Jesse) Dailey of Avon, Tiffany (Chris) Scheidt of Columbus, and Heather (James) Smith of Westport; great-grandkids, Bailey, Marshall, Breanna, Kaylee, Jewell, Kaitlyn, Cheyanne, Maxwell, Landen, and Jackson; and siblings, Tommy (Kathy) Elmore and Janice Thorton, both of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosie; and his daughter, Crystal Elmore.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home. A private service will be held with Rev. Terry England officiating. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
