Tony Ray (T.J.) Whittington, Jr., 25, of Hope
Tony Ray “T.J.” Whittington, Jr., 25, of Hope, Indiana, passed away July 3, 2021 at his home that he shared with his loving father.
Tony was born on April 20, 1996 in Columbus, Indiana. Tony loved to be called T.J. He loved to be outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping or even just sitting outside listening to the wild life around him. T.J. loved to ride 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. He enjoyed gaming with his nephews. What he loved most of all was spending quality time with his family and friends.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Navaeh of Franklin; his parents, Tony Whittington, Sr. (Marselle ) of Hope and Janet Feldman (Eddie) of Greensburg; sisters, Michelle Mercer (John) of North Carolina, Nikki Whittington of Frankfort, and Kelsay Mundy of Columbus; brother, Sully Pennington of Clifford; nieces, Rachelle Whittington of North Carolina and Chloe Blount of Columbus; nephews Abraxas Blanz, Xavier Mercer, Cameron Mercer, and Matthew Mercer, all of North Carolina; grandparents, Danny Whittington of Hope, Carolyn Singleton of Columbus, Charlie Scrogham (Kay) of Hope, and Arlene Feldman of Greensburg; aunts and uncles, Teresa Whittington of Hope, Roselyn Long (Eric) of Columbus, Paula McCall (Todd) of Indianapolis, Keith Singleton of Crothersville, Jimmy Hibbs of Hope; and several great-aunts and great-uncles.
Tony is preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Mundy; and grandparents, Ruth Whittington, Chris Whittington, Dan Singleton, and Dorthy Whittington.
A funeral will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
