Bonita K. Bush Sterrett Harper, 70 of Columbus

Bonita K. Bush Sterrett Harper, 70 of Columbus passed away Wednesday July 7, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.

Born January 18, 1951 in Bedford she was the daughter of Ervin L. and Hazel Goen Bush. She married Clarence P. Sterrett, II November 23, 1983 and he preceded her in death September 17, 2000. She then married Danny W. Harper July 17, 2004 and he survives.

Bonita attended the Ridge Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts and decorated her house for every holiday. She was very patriotic.

In her earlier years she was employed at Acme Plumbing and Drain in Indianapolis as a dispatcher.

Bonita is survived by her husband Danny of Columbus; children, Pam (Bryce) Kottkamp of Greenfield, Lisa Kimberlin (Patrick) of Greenfield, Steven Caffee of Grovetown, GA; step children, Clarence P. Sterrett, III of Virginia, Jennifer Sterrett Russell (Rick) of Columbus, Trina (John) Newton of Hope and Eric (Amanda) Harper of Hartsville; adopted great granddaughters, Aileena and Arynn Harper of Hope; 19 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; a brother, Jack (Rita) Bush of Seymour and several nieces and nephews that she adored.

The funeral for Bonita will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 1 hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hawcreek Cemetery.

Bonita was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Hazel; her husband, Clarence P. Sterrett, II; daughter, Aileen Caffee and siblings, Gene Bush, Sue Ross and Barbara Bush.
