Hauser student Gabrielle Johns was awarded a Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizens award on Thursday, November 18th.  DAR member Taffy Schroer presented Gabrielle with her award, commenting,

"Gabrielle excels as a leader in the classroom and in athletics. She is a 4 year
basketball and tennis player, been on the volleyball team and cheer squad in
addition to being on student council and National Honor Society while leading as the
class president all 4 years!

Her other school club involvement includes Students Against Destructive
Decisions, FFA, Sunshine Society, Key Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes as
chapter leader.

Her English teacher states that Gabby embodies the qualities of a natural leader,
team player and an accomplished student.

The Hauser Athletic Director says Gabby is leaving a legacy that will be hard to
follow as she has set a benchmark standard for student athletes at Hauser.
Congratulations Gabrielle Johns, Hauser High School’s DAR Good Citizen!"

Other area Good Citizen award recipients included Annabel Freeman of Columbus North, Evan Polley of Columbus Christian School, Jenna Boewe of Columbus Signature Academy, and Olivia Shoaf of Columbus East. This award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess good citizenship qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in their homes, schools and communities.
