Community Prayer Circle for Students Sunday Evening on Town Square

Area students and their families are invited out for the fourth annual Community Prayer Circle offered by the Hope Ministerial Association in collaboration with the Student’s Fund of Hope at 7 p.m. Sunday on the Hope Town Square, downtown Hope.

Pastor Andy Kilps says it is nice to offer the free event from the Hope Town Square again this year.

For those who may have not attended in year’s past, area pastors with the Hope Ministerial Association will each offer prayers for the students and staff for the upcoming schoolyear followed by a time for fellowship and then the kiddos are able to visit with the Student’s Fund of Hope at the school supply area where they can pick up what they need, including folders and notebooks, Kilps says. And they get to snag a sweet popsicle treat offered by the Student’s Fund of Hope, too.

“In this time, when there’s been so much change in their lives in recent years, it is important for them to know they are not alone, they’re supported and loved, and that they are being prayed for,” Kilps says. “Everyone may have different beliefs, but it is for them to know, in general, that God is with them, loves them, and wants to guide them in the upcoming year with school and everything going on in their young lives. It is a time to come together in the community.”
