Kenneth Avery Guffey, Jr., 60, of Hope, passed away Saturday August 20, 2022 at his home.
Born February 28, 1962 in Seymour he was the son of Kenneth Avery Guffey, Sr. and Janice Sue Warren Pendleton.
Kenneth was an electrician.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He attended the First Baptist Church of Hope.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, motorcycles and could fix anything. He had a love for flowers.
Kenneth is survived by his mother, Janice Sue Pendleton of Taylorsville; children, Kendra (Jonathan) Robertson of Columbus, Kyra (Joe-D) Baxter of Elizabethtown and Korbin (Kayla) Guffey of Bartholomew County; stepchildren, Cory (Taylor) Sampson of Columbus and Casey Absher of Hope; eleven grandchildren; a sister, Tina Fickle of Columbus; a lifelong partner, Ronaca Guffey of Hope and several nieces and nephews.
To honor Kenneth’s wishes cremation is planned and a celebration of life will be Saturday September 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hope. Arrangements were entrusted to Norman Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Norman Funeral Home, to help defray funeral expenses.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Avery Guffey, Sr.; a sister, Mandy Natole and a brother, Robert Lee Guffey.
