Three Hope residents arrested on drug charges

On February 10, 2022, approximately 2:08 p.m., Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Bush was dispatched to a reported (possible) impaired driver in the 8100 block of N 1150 E, Hope, IN.
On arrival, Deputy Bush observed 3 male subjects, all of whom appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.
Xanax and marijuana were located on Eric Love, 47, Hope. Love was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of marijuana
He has since been released.
Suboxone and Xanax were located on the person of Michael Lonaker, 28, Hope.
Lonaker was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of:
- Possession of a controlled substance
Lonaker has since been released.
Geoffrey Jones, 30, Hope, had (approx.) 3 grams of fentanyl on his person. Jones was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Operating while intoxicated
Jones has since been released.
All persons are considered innocent unless/until proven guilty in a court of law.
