James David Baldwin, 83, Hartsville

James David “Doc” Baldwin of Hartsville, IN passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday June 25, 202

He was born December 5, 1938 to Ada Luvenia (Taylor) Baldwin and Richard Leslie Baldwin.

He married Jinny Fields September 21, 1960, she survives.

James worked at Thompson Sporting Goods, McKeand’s Sales, Boats Unlimited, then owned Baldwin Small Engines with his brother John. He loved Jesus, dirt track races, and his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jinny Baldwin; daughters Janice (Steve) Tedder of Hartsville, and Jane (Brad) Douglas of Greensburg. Grandchildren Brandi (Jon) Spradley of Greenwood, Emily (Daniel) Welch of Hope, Mackenzie Young of Hartsville (Fiancee’ Charles Walton of Hope); Great Grandchildren Emmett Young and Luca Spradley, brothers Daniel Baldwin, Mark (Susan) Baldwin, Samuel (Janet) Baldwin, sisters Jean Dickinson, Rachel (Delmar) Moore. and many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Omer, Robert, Paul, Ray, and John Baldwin, sisters Lois Bilby and Kathryn Davis.

A private graveside service will be held at Hope Moravian Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
