Senior Wellness Program Announced

By Hope Police Department-

The Town of Hope Police Department is constantly looking for ways to better serve the local community. As a part of this effort, the Department is establishing the Senior Citizen check-in Program.

This program will reach out to the ill or elderly or shut-ins living alone throughout the Town of Hope. Participating individuals are contacted each week by a police officer or dispatcher to check on their well-being.

This program is a free service enabling seniors living alone to feel more secure. In particular, this program offers senior citizens a few precious moments during the day to interact with someone.

Police Officers, relatives or neighbors will check on participants who are unable to be reached by telephone.

If you have a friend or relative who might benefit from this program, or would just like more information, please contact Matthew Tallent at the Town of Hope Police Department (812) 546-4015 or email at mtallent@townofhope. org
