Phyllis Anne Darnell, 83, of Hope

Phyllis Anne Darnell, 83, of Hope passed away Monday March 21, 2022 at her residence.

Born August 4, 1938 in Columbus, Phyllis was the daughter of George and Dorothy Cox Stutz. She married George Darnell January 19, 1958 and he preceded her in death December 10, 2013.

Phyllis is survived by children, Jeff Darnell of Hope and Pam Darnell of Hope; grandchildren, Jason (Kia) Darnell of Nineveh, Ryan Willey of Hope, Chris Darnell of Hope; step grandchildren, Brandon Slocum of Hope and Jared Slocum of Taylorsville; great grandchildren, Hailee Darnell of Nashville, IN, Kory Darnell of Nineveh and Jared Slocum II of Columbus; brother, Larry (Donna) Stutz of Columbus.

A funeral service was Saturday at Norman Funeral Home officiated by Bryan Trotter. Burial was at Hawcreek Cemetery.

Phyllis retired from Cosco after many years of service.

She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, adult coloring, watching Hallmark movies and especially loved watching her hummingbirds.
