Thomas Ray Clark, 61, of Hope

Thomas Ray Clark, 61, a resident of Hope, Indiana, passed from this life Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at his home.

Tom entered life October 10, 1960, in Lebanon, Indiana, the son of Forest and Eunice Barber Clark.

Tom was a United States Army Airborne Ranger. He was stationed in Germany, was a military policeman and weapons specialist.

Earlier in life, Tom was a member of Laborers Local 66 and he was a self-employed carpenter. Tom enjoyed fishing and always looked forward to drinking coffee with friends at the Taylorsville Waffle House and Jill’s Diner in downtown Columbus.

Survivors include his children, Aaron (Katie) Clark of Trafalgar, Indiana, Dylan (Tasha) Clark of Columbus, Tabatha Clark of Columbus, Raymon Clark of North Vernon, Indiana, and Samantha Clark (Jake Pardieck) of Hope, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Suzanne) Clark of Cut and Shoot, Texas and Robert (June) Clark of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Annita Clark of Tucson, Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Eunice Clark and his sister, Donna Clark.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation is planned. A Celebration of life was held Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Jill’s Diner, 421 7th Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201.

The family would like to thank the Hope Volunteer Fire Department for their quick response to Tom’s home on Tuesday and would like to encourage those wanting to give a memorial contribution in Tom’s memory to give to the Hope Volunteer Fire Department.
