Don't Delay-Vote For Students' Fund Of Hope In Peterman Brothers Charity Showdown
The Students' Fund Of Hope needs for our community to vote for them in the Peterman Brothers Charity Showdown in order to win and gain a generous donation. You can easily find more information about the showdown and how to vote due to the number of people sharing and supporting them to this point as they have advanced through each stage. They have an impressive mission statement, one that is much needed and one that is continually acted upon: “Showing students and families in the Hope Community that when we come together there's hope for a brighter future.”
I very much remember having the founders, Whitney Budd and Stephanie Long, as students in fifth grade, both with wonderful abilities but each from very different backgrounds. They have been friends for a long time with Stephanie's family helping Whitney transition through some very difficult circumstances while growing up but allowing her to stay within our community and school corporation. Many people have heard Whitney's story, a story that has inspired her as well as Stephanie to help hundreds of students and their families since the organization's start in 2018. (HSJ Online plans on sharing Whitney's story soon.)
Their passion is powerful as well as the passion of their present board members: Tori Bachmann, Michelle Gault, Christy Greenhut, Jennifer Hadley, Dave Miller, Jeff Yarnell, and Shelby Fugate. You can find powerful statements from each on their website, studentsfundofhope.org, with a few listed below:
Christy Greenhut: “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
Dave Miller: “Hope is not a wealthy community, but I am always amazed at its generous and supportive spirit.”
Shelby Fugate: “Hope, Indiana is my forever hometown. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for this community. I hope to bring faith and love into the homes of many families.”
So, please vote! I almost had this article completed when the power went off Wednesday night. Unfortunately, my computer could not save it; thus I had to start all over. However, it was just a small problem compared to what many of our students and families are working through in their lives. Your vote is important with Sunday, April 3rd, being the last opportunity. It is a simple action that could make a major impact for the mission of Students' Fund Of Hope!

Thanks,
