Windrose Pharmacy to Open May 23
The pharmacy’s hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to a recent press release.
In that same press release, Scott Rollett, CEO of WindRose Family Pharmacies and WindRose Health Network, announced Mark Rueth, PharmD, and Teresa Turner,CPhT, will lead the new pharmacy serving the Hope community and its residents.
Rueth, who will be the Pharmacist in Charge, is a Doctor of Pharmacy graduate of the School of Pharmacy, Purdue University and brings nearly 20 years’ experience serving customers in a number of retail pharmacies, including Walgreens and ReCept Pharmacy.
Turner earned her associate degree in accounting from Ivy Tech State College in Columbus. She brings more than a decade’s experience in retail pharmacy, including work with Kroger Pharmacy, CVS and, most recently, Hope Wellness Pharmacy.
“Both have an exceptional background in pharmacy and customer service,” Rollett says. “This coupled with a passion for helping people will prove very beneficial for our patients, providers, and the Hope community.”
Hope Wellness Pharmacy opened in 2017 as Hope’s sole pharmacy offering personal service to all customers, access to medication, and free United States mail delivery of non-controlled substances.
When the pharmacy closed its doors in 2021, Rollett says WindRoseRX knew it was necessary to “bridge the gap” that was created as it served more than 2,000 patients in the Hope area.
Since that time, Hope residents have had to utilize pharmacy services in surrounding areas, including Columbus, Edinburgh and Greensburg.
“We were strategic in how we structured our new WindRoseRX – Hope pharmacy,” he continues. “We know our community is depending on us for their much-needed prescriptions today and into the future.”
Hope Town Manager Jason Eckart says the return of the pharmacy to the Square is just what Hope needs.
“I think it is a terrific thing for the downtown Square of Hope to have another business back,” says Jason Eckart, Hope Town Manager.
Turner is certainly a welcomed familiar face in the Hope community as she brings a wealth of experience, not just with her position, but she knows the Hope community well, Eckart says.
“She was involved in the other pharmacy that was here for such a long time and I think the town is thrilled she is still involved, because she knows so many citizens in town,” Eckart says. “We are very happy Windrose has made a commitment to the citizens of Hope and being on the town Square is a great central location for them to have an awesome pharmacy. “
WindRose Health Network, which was established in 1996 in Trafalgar, Ind., employs an estimated 200 healthcare professionals and serves more than 20,000 patients in Whiteland, Edinburgh and Hope.
