Investigation Ongoing in Shooting Death of Hope Teen
Bartholomew County Sheriff’s officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Elm Street around 9:52 p.m. Saturday evening in regard to a report of a person who had suffered a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, officers found 18-year-old Jesse W. Bragg, of Hope, shot in the chest inside the residence. Medical aid was immediately rendered; however, Bragg was pronounced dead on scene.
Detectives from both the BCFO and CPD responded to conduct a homicide investigation, which resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old Joseph T. Kidwell, of Fowler, Ind., for reckless homicide – a level 5 felony.
The investigation is ongoing.
