The Simmons one-room schoolhouse board is currently in the process of applying for a grant from Cummins Inc. to help replace the roof of the schoolhouse.

Board members are asking current and past employees who have ever volunteered with the schoolhouse to log their volunteer hours in the Cummins system. Participation from all those who have helped out with the schoolhouse will assist greatly with the grant process.
