Brian L. Merritt, 51, of Columbus passed from this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 9:57 a.m. at his son’s residence.
Brian was born on August 17, 1972, in Columbus, the son of Marshall L. and Dianna S. Hopkins Merritt.
Brian enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to Rock music.
Survivors include his children, Dylan (D.J. Hoff) Merritt of Hope, Brianna (Cody) Laney of Edinburgh, Tiffany Biggs of Columbus, Jazmine Merritt of Columbus; grandchildren, Adin Laney, Kaydence Merritt, Emily Biggs, Elliana Laney, Reighlan Hoff-Merritt, Jack Biggs, Charlotte Hoff-Merritt; and a sister, Jennifer Warner of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
In keeping with Mr. Merritt’s wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 1- 4 p.m. at Sakura Event Center, 126 E Main Cross St, Edinburgh, IN 46124.
