Darlene Sue Hines, 74, St. Paul

Darlene Sue Hines, 74, of St. Paul, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her residence.

Born January 10, 1949 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Clifford Smith and Mildred (Irwin) Smith. She married Robert L. Hines on August 10, 1966, and he preceded her on July 3, 2023

Survivors include a daughter Tina M. Lewis (fiancé Keith Shelley) of St. Paul; a brother Larry Smith (wife Linda) of Greenwood; 3 grandchildren- Edgar Ryan Lewis (wife Mary) of Shelbyville, Gabrielle Wooten (husband James) of Greensburg, Elizabeth Lykins (husband Vernon) of St. Paul; and 3 great grandchildren AryAuna Lewis, Edgar Argus Lewis, and Katelyn Wooten.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, and a daughter- Donna Jean Hines.

Mrs. Hines had lived for most of her lifetime in this area, after moving from West Virginia. She was a homemaker. Darlene enjoyed camping, sightseeing, attending tea parties, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St., St. Paul, with Pastor Daniel McDonald officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holly River Baptist Cemetery in Diana, West Virginia.

Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
