Ellen L. Young, 84, of Columbus, passed from this life at 4:45 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2023, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Young was born December 17, 1938, in Hope, the daughter of Marion and Esther Ferguson McKinney.
She married William “Bill” Young June 16, 1956; he preceded her in death October 21, 2021.
Ellen was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and playing Rummy and Euchre.
Survivors include her children, Wyatt (Dawn) Young of Elizabethtown, Jeff Young of Columbus, Roger (Gwen) Young of Columbus, Eric (Jennyfer) Young of Ohio and Laura (Tom) Lashley of Hope; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter and one step great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant daughter, Rosemarie Young; and sisters, Nancy Ferguson and Donna Trittin.
In keeping with Mrs. Young’s wishes, cremation is planned. No services are scheduled at this time.
