Larry Lee Smiley, 72, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away on December 23, 2023.
Larry was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He will be remembered for his warm heart and his ability to reminisce about the past with great emotion. Larry has a passion for motorcycles and cherished the time spent with his friends and family, Larry was a born-again believer and had a deep love for the Lord.
Larry was born on January 31, 1951, in Shelbyville Indiana to Herman B. and Mary M. Smiley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Shasta Jean Smiley and his sibling Donna F, Huff, Donald
Huff, Herman R. Smiley, David Smiley, Thomas Smiley, and Carson Smiley and daughter Genna M. Murray.
Larry will deeply missed by his children Jerry (Anita) Perry of Columbus, Indiana, Della McIntosh of Plainfield, Indiana Andrew L. Perry of Edinburgh, Indiana, Darron L. Smiley of Flat Rock, Indiana and Michael L. Smiley of Edinburgh, Indiana. He leaves behind ten grandchildren and twenty-two great- grandchildren
Larry is also survived by siblings Russell (Ella Mae) Smiley of Flat Rock Indiana, Mary M. (Jay) Shockley of Indianapolis, Indiana and Sandra F. (Ralph) Childers of Edinburgh, Indiana and 3 step-sisters Wilma, Becky and Joyce of Lapel Indiana.
In keeping with Larry wishes, cremation will take place and no service at this time is scheduled.
