Area collegebound students and their families are invited to participate in College Goal Sunday, a free financial aid program from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 26, at IUPUC, located at 4601 Central Ave., in Columbus.

Indiana-based financial professionals will be available to assist students in filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for students to be considered for financial assistance, including state and federal grants, scholarships and federal student loan assistance at a majority of post-secondary institutions, including most colleges, universities, and vocational and technical schools.

FAFSA deadline is APRIL 15.

Participating students should bring:
Completed 2021 IRS 1040 tax returns
W-2 Forms and other 2021 income and benefits information.

Students who worked should also bring their income information.

Students who are 24 years old and up do not need a parent or guardian present and should bring:
Completed 2021 IRS 1040 tax return
W-2 Form or other 2021 income and benefits information.

Students and their parent(s) are encouraged to apply for their U.S. Department of Education FSA IDs at studentaid.gov before logging in to the event.

During the event, volunteers will be present to assist walking applicants through the online form line-by-line and answer questions.
