Donna Ellen Parsley, 88, Columbus

Donna Ellen Parsley, 88, formerly of Taylorsville, IN died Friday February 10, 2023 at Brown County Health and Living Center in Nashville, IN.

She was a homemaker and had retired from Como Plastics in Columbus, IN.

Donna was a member of 25th Street Church of Christ in Columbus.

She loved spending time with her family, was a very active gardener, an excellent seamstress, and pet lover.

Born July 4, 1934, in Monroe County, KY Donna was the daughter of Hermon K. and Gracie Ellen Fox Proffitt. She married Farris F. Parsley on August 30, 1952. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2004.

Surviving is a sister, Pauline Engles of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Lonnie, Lamon, Lawrence, and Leonard Proffitt; sister, Jewell Bowers; and 2 nieces.

Visitation for Donna will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. A funeral service officiated by Brace Rutledge will follow at 1 p.m. Following the service, Donna will be buried at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
