Marcella Sue Staggs, 83, Hope

Marcella Sue Staggs, 83 of Hope passed away Thursday February 23, 2023 at her daughter's home.

Born February 3, 1940 in Plainwell, MI she was the daughter of Cleon W. and Arloa A. Johncock Ellinger. She married Morris Staggs April 2, 1960 and he preceded her in death January 8, 2013.

Marcella had previously been employed at Mancinos as a manager.

She served in the U.S. Army.

She had previously attended St. Louis Crossing Baptist Church.

Marcella enjoyed reading and coloring with colored pencils. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marcella is survived by her children, April Adams of Flat Rock, Dwayne Staggs of Hope and William Staggs of Greenwood; grandchildren, David Dillon (Airika) Adams of Columbus, Devon Weddle (Aryanna Phillips) of Flat Rock, Darryl Weddle of Flat Rock, Lucas Staggs of Franklin, Josiah Staggs of Franklin and Ethan Staggs of Franklin; great grandchildren, Layla, Jaxton and Ryder Weddle, Dillany Adams and Greg Evans.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 4 siblings.

There will be a private visitation at Norman Funeral Home and a private graveside service at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. The Bartholomew County Veteran's Honor Guard will honor Marcella with a military graveside service.
