Diana S. Miller, 68, of Hope, Indiana walked through the gates of Heaven Thursday January 19, 2023.
Diana was born in Salem, Indiana February 17, 1954 to Zenis and Carol Vest whom both proceeded her in death. She married Russell W. Miller October 21, 1972 and had two children, Roy A. Miller who is deceased and Christina M. Humphress of Indianapolis.
Diana has a granddaughter Kylah S. Humphress, a grandson Cailin M. Humphress and son in law Brent Humphress, all of Indianapolis and were her whole world. She has two siblings Zenis "Bobby" Vest, Jr. of Hope and Sherry (Ricky) Leonard of Greensburg, along with several nieces and nephews.
Diana loved spending time with her family and friends or being outdoors. She would often be seen sitting on her front porch waving at everyone or doing yard work. She had the biggest heart and never met a stranger. Even though she never had a lot, she viewed herself as blessed for what she did have and would help anyone without question.
Diana was a member of Hope Community Church for twenty plus years, then when her brother in law Ricky Leonard started a church she moved over to Hope House of Prayer.
Diana is survived by daughter and son in law Christina and brent Humphress, grandchildren, Kylah and Cailin Humphress, brother, Zenis "Bobby" Vest, Jr., sister and brother-in-law Sherry and Ricky Leonard, along with several nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.
Diana was met in Heaven by her husband, Russell W. Miller, fiance, Dale Croucher, son, Roy A. Miller, mother and father, Zenis and Carol Vest, a niece Jamie Gibson, grandparents, Raymond and Mercedes Wade and Estelle Lewelyn along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Please join us to celebrate Diana's life on Monday January 23, 2023 at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with service following at 2 p.m. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Jim Allison. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock, Indiana.
