Attention, Hope! The official start of summer is around the corner and that means registration is now open for the 4th Annual Little Miss and Mr. Firecracker Contest presented by Hope's Annual Old Fashioned Fourth of July celebration.
All that is required is simply decorate a can and collect penny votes from family and friends or place the can at a location in town. Remember, every penny counts! Each penny equals one vote, and one dollar equals 100 votes.
Cans should be turned in at the Yellow Trail Museum before Wednesday, June 28. If the museum is not open, drop off to Jessica Deckard at Deckard Tool, located at 624 main Street downtown Hope.
Winners will be announced at 6:15 p.m. Friday, June 30 during the Old Fashioned Fourth celebration. Little Miss Sparkler and Little Mr. Firecracker will lead the bike parade around the Town Square at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
All proceeds from this contest benefit the Yellow Trail Museum.
Contest entry forms may be picked up at the following downtown locations:
WILLow LeaVes of Hope, located at 326 Jackson St.; The Yellow Trail Museum, located at 640 Main St.; and the Hope Branch Library, located at 635 Harrison St.
