Moravian Clothes Closet to Host Giveaway Saturday 03/25

The Moravian Clothes Closet resumes its monthly free clothing giveaway from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. this Saturday, March 25, at the Moravian Church, located at 202 Main St., in Hope.

Spearheaded by Hope resident Linda Foote and a team of dedicated volunteers, this month’s event – which will feature some formal wear in addition to clothing and shoes for men, women and children – will be held in the church gym and individuals are encouraged to take what they need.

“It’s all free,” Foote says.

Since the closet's last offering in January, Foote and her team of volunteers have been working to gather formal wear donations ahead of prom season, which begins with Hauser's prom April 29.

"We don't have a lot, but a few girls will be blessed," Foote says.

Formal alterations that may be needed for the nearly one dozen dresses offered through Saturday's closet will be available off site. Contact Foote for more information.

Individuals seeking to make last-minute prom and formal wear donations for the clothing drive are encouraged to contact Foote at 812-560-5943 to make arrangements for drop-off prior to end of business at 5 p.m. Friday, March 24.
