Ruth Ann Stanton, 84, Flat Rock

Ruth Ann Stanton, 84, of Flat Rock, passed away Friday March 24, 2023, at Miller's Merry Manor in Hope.

Born November 15, 1938, in Shelby County she was the daughter of Dale and Sarah M. Stoughton Snapp. She married Donald Stanton May 17, 1957, and he preceded her in death November 1, 2015.

Before retirement Ruth Ann was a homemaker and a beautician.

She was a member of the Flat Rock Christian Church and Norristown Chapter of Eastern Star.

She enjoyed crocheting and especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Visitation for Ruth Ann will be Wednesday March 29, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. and will be officiated by Brian Ebersold. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.

Ruth Ann is survived by children, Marty (Brenda) Stanton of Flat Rock and Melinda (Jeff) Lee of Flat Rock; grandchildren, Crystal (Josh) Shannon of Flat Rock, Mark (Stephanie) Stanton of Shelbyville, Ashley (Larry) Stone of Flat Rock and Tyler (Jessee) Spencer of Missouri; ten great grandchildren; siblings, Bill Snapp of Marietta, John (Marge) Snapp of Paragon and Carolyn Crouch of Shelbyville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Jim and Bob Snapp; sisters, June Snapp, Wilma Elder and Mary Wissing and sister-in-law, Michelle Snapp.
