Virginia "Ginger" Fullmer Fletcher Leeder, 88, Hope

Virginia “Ginger” Fullmer Fletcher Leeder, 88, passed away peacefully at her family home on May 3, 2023.

She was born Virginia Lee Fullmer on November 22 1934 to Gilbert and Lucy Smith Fullmer at the Batesville Indiana Hospital.  She married Delmer Fletcher in 1952 and moved to Hope, Indiana and had eight children together.  Four of her children preceded her in death; Donald, Pam, Tony and Jill. 

Surviving are Robin, Bonnie, Jay and Niki.  Also surviving is her younger brother Gilbert Scott “Scottie” Fullmer and his children Tony and Gina. 

She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband Roger Leeder in 2006 and Delmer Fletcher in 1998. 

Surviving grandchildren are Tony “TJ” Fletcher, Michaela Fletcher, Aaron Fletcher, Cody (Brooklin) Frazee, Nick and Sydney White, Josh and Brandon (Chandler) Fletcher.

Great grandchildren include Kayla (Aaron), and Blayden (Tony “TJ”)

Ginger spent her life taking care of everyone around her and went to work at Lakeview Convalescent Center in 1972.  She stayed on there after it became Miller’s Merry Manor and refused to retire until age 76.  She loved it there.

She loved to crochet, loved sewing and knitting and homemade arts and crafts.  She liked country music by Johnny Cash, Roger Miller, Eddie Arnold and Elvis always cheered her up.  She was loved by all and will be missed by many people.

There will be a public graveside service Monday May 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Hope Moravian Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
