Lorrie A. Crouch, 61, Hope

Lorrie A. Crouch, 61, a resident of Hope, Indiana, passed from this life at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at her home.

Lorrie was born in Columbus, Indiana, August 25, 1961, the loving daughter of William G. and Sarah A. Abner Smith. Lorrie was united in marriage to Mike D. Crouch June 22, 1995; he survives.

For the past 28 years, Lorrie has been a cook at Four Seasons Retirement Center. She enjoyed going to yard sales and fishing.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 28 years, Mike Crouch; her mother, Sarah Smith of Columbus; children, Jennifer K. Crouch of Columbus, Ricky Dale Stephens of Hartsville, and Allena Kay-Anne Crouch of Hope; grandson, Clayton Harris of Hope; siblings, Mary Louise (Coy) Sluder of Campbellsville, Kentucky, William (Diane) Smith of Greensburg, Kentucky, David (Cathy Black) Smith of North Vernon, and Ronnie (Amy) Smith of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Lorrie was preceded in death by her father, William G. Smith; daughter, April Dawn Stephens; siblings, Gill Smith, Mike Smith, and Ruby Rafferty; and her infant twin brother, Larry Dale Smith.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Pastor Rick Leonard will officiate.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday.

Lorrie will be laid to rest next to her daughter in Section 86 at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
