Motorcyclists from miles around will gather for the 10th and final Rumble for the Cure motorcycle ride to benefit the American Cancer Society beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mann’s Harley-Davidson, located at 3250 W. Market Place Dr. in Edinburgh.

Registration for the popular ride will be open from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 11 a.m., says organizer Misty Derringer.

“We’ve got a lot of really great things going on this year,” Derringer says. “Including really great raffle prizes and live auction items we will be bidding on.”

The 95-mile police-escorted ride will end at the VFW, located at 215 N. National Road in Columbus, where Seymour’s Paradigm band will perform, Derringer says.

Cost for the rain or shine event is $20 for solo riders and $35 for riders with a passenger.

“We are hoping to have a good finish,” Derringer says. “A great way to not just raise money for the American Cancer Society, but really raise some awareness about what the ACS does and all their resources they offer people who are battling cancer.”

Derringer says this year’s ride is the last as there has been no one to take over the event in light of organizers stepping down.

Looking back, it’s been a tremendous decade of rides that to date have raised more than $150,000, Derringer says. Last year’s ride garnered more than 300 in attendance with more than 150 bikes participating, she adds.

“We’ve made a lot of friends over the past 10 years,” she adds. “It has touched a lot of people’s lives, including my own. It’s been great.”
