By Norman Funeral Home

Rosanna Mae (Sandefur) Oldham was born on February 6, 1938, in Vernon, IN. She was the beloved daughter of Ivory and Florence (Brooks) Sandefur and sister to eight siblings.

She was married to Glen Oldham on December 28th, 1958. They shared 48 years together. Their wedding was held at Hartsville Church of Christ where they remained members and became pillars of the community. Rosanna taught Sunday School there for 60 years. She had a vast knowledge of the Bible and shared it with those she mentored. Her unwavering faith and love for God was an inspiration to so many.

Rosanna and Glen would go on to have four daughters. Susan Williams of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Becky Oldham and Jennifer Oldham both of Columbus and Elizabeth Stuczynski of Indianapolis. Her girls cherished her and their devotion to her remained steadfast. Her love as a Mother was unparalleled and she graciously welcomed others and made them feel like family. The greatest joy of her life was becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother. The unique bond she shared with each of them was a joy to witness and the memories and traditions she created will live on through them.

She followed her dream of becoming a nurse and attended Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing where she proudly became an RN in 1959. Her passion in caring for others led her to a career at Bartholomew County Hospital (CRH) where she served as a nurse in the Emergency Room and ICU Unit. She was proud to be one of the first nurses to work in the Cardiac Rehab Unit. She was truly an angel on earth.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 7 at 12 p.m. at Hartsville Church of Christ, 160 N. Washington Street Hartsville, IN 47244 with Pastor Brad Douglas officiating.
