Bonita Sue Beavers Welch, 75, Columbus

Bonita Sue Beavers Welch, 75, of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 6:58 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Bonita was born in Columbus, February 21, 1948, the daughter of the late Billy David and Faye Louise Allman Beavers. In 1965, Bonita married Wayne Frederick Welch; he preceded her in death August 31, 1997.

Bonita had worked at Cummins Engine Company and she like to listen to older rock and roll music and working word search puzzles.

Bonita is survived by her brother, Terry W. (Jerline) Beavers of Seymour; sister, Linda (Barry) Williams of Seymour; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; aunts, Velva Love of Hope and Icy Knudsen of Ocala, Florida; four nieces; and several cousins and other relatives.

Bonita was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Faye Beavers; her husband, Wayne; sons, Jeffery Welch in 2010 and Scott Welch in 2022; daughter, Tami Jo Welch in 2016; brothers, Billy Beavers Jr. in 2011 and Mike Beavers in 2021; an infant sister, Pamela Gale Beavers in 1959; sister, Meredith Gates in 2003; and a grandson, Wayne Gribbons in 2023.

Cremation was chosen. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023, in Section 67 at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
