Game Report: Girls Basketball Senior Night 11/28

The Hauser Lady Jets welcomed crosstown rival Columbus Christian to the Jet Hanger on Tuesday Night for Senior Night.

The Jets took off quickly building a 17-0 first quarter lead.  The Jets pushed the lead to 40-9 at the break and closed the night with a 62-17 win.

Seniors Bella Kilps, Erykah Everroad, Mattie Foster and families were recognized between the JV and Varsity Games on Tuesday Night.  The Jets were led by MaxPreps Player of the Game senior Mattie Foster's double double scoring 12 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.  Senior Bella Kips dished out 7 assists and scored 9 points, and fellow senior Erykah Everroad had 4 steals, 6 deflections, and scored 4 points.  Junior Norah Berkenstock scored 16 points to lead all scorers.  Sophomore Braelyn Williams scored 8 points and went 3 for 4 from the free throw line.  Junior Haven Hartwell was a perfect 2 for 2 from the field scoring 4 points.  Freshmen Abby Manley scored 5 points and fellow Freshman June Berkenstock scored 2 points.  Beatriz Hruba rounded out the scoring with 2 points for the Jets.


Hauser shot a season best 47 percent from the field and held Columbus Christian to just 25 percent shooting on the night.  Hauser dominated the paint by scoring 44 of its 62 in the paint.  The Jets feasted off turnovers scoring 36 points off Columbus Christian's 25 turnovers.  The varsity Jets move to 3-5 on the year and will travel to Indy Lutheran on Thursday.

The JV Jets defeated Jennings County in the early game moving its winning streak to 5 games and moved to 5-3 on the year.
