The comedic, whimsical story of “Harvey” takes center stage when it opens for a two-week run at 6 p.m. Friday, May 10 at WILLow LeaVes of Hope, located at 326 Jackson Street downtown Hope.

Presented by the Passion for Acting Theatre Co. and WILLow LeaVes of Hope, Elwood P. Dowd includes his nearly 6’4”- tall best friend Harvey in everything. The issue? Harvey is invisible… or is he?  Testing the limits of his family’s patience, middle-aged Dowd may be a little a bit insane… or more sensible his family believes him to be. However, when Dowd’s sister tries to have him committed, hilarity ensues.

Written in 1944 by Mary Chase, and the subsequent winner of the 1945 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, “Harvey” served as the basis for the iconic 1950 film of the same name starring James Stewart.

Tickets for this two-hour long dinner-theatre production are $35 per person and includes a full meal and show. For reservations, call 812-341-7251.

Show Times:
6 p.m. May 10, 11, 17 and 18; 1 p.m. May 12 and 19.
