Jackie "Jack" Banks, 79, Clovis, NM

Jackie “Jack” Banks, aged 79, passed away on June 18, 2024, in Clovis, New Mexico. He was a beloved husband and friend, as well as a father and grandfather who will be missed by many. Jack was born on October 31, 1944, in Whitesburg, KY, where he spent his early years. As a young man, he worked for Cummins Diesel until, at the age of 27, he enlisted in the Navy. His 21½-year military career saw him rise to the rank of senior chief as a submariner. After retiring from many years as a diesel mechanic with Waste Management, Jack continued several more years as a part time mechanic for Chico Towing. In his free time, Jack enjoyed woodworking, making toy boxes and furniture for his family.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Wendi, three daughters: Shelli Ramey, Rubie (Ryan) Schaaf, and Tilliesa Banks, as well as four sons: Jeff (Amy) Banks, Jim (Lori) Banks, Nicholas (Adriane) Bruner, and Joseph Bruner. Jack is also remembered by multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jack leaves behind numerous family and friends in Arizona, Indiana, and Washington, and due to his military service, scattered across the U.S.

Jack was cremated by Muffley Funeral Home in Clovis, NM, and the ashes are retained by his widow, Wendi Mullinax Bruner Banks.
