As we make plans to gather with family and friends this holiday season, area churches are offering a variety of services and opportunities to gather and celebrate the season…


Grace Baptist, located at 8475 N. State Rd. 9, in Hope, is hosting a Christmas-themed service at 11 a.m. Sunday, December 22 at the church.


The Hope Moravian Church, located at 202 Main St., in Hope, will be hosting a Christmas service at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 24.

The event will feature special music and bells playing at 6 p.m. with Rev. Janice Coffing bringing a message.

The 8 p.m. service will offer bell and choir performances and a special message delivered by Rev. Janice Coffing.

Both services will have a candlelight service.

Community Blue Christmas Service at Hope United Methodist Church, located at 432 Washington St., in Hope, on Saturday, December 21. 

During this longest day of the year, there will be a Blue Christmas Service at Hope United Methodist Church, as well as on Pastor Ed's Facebook page, Edward Cottrell, starting at 7 p.m. and sponsored by the Hope/Flat Rock/Hawcreek Ministerial Association. 

There will also be a candlelight service beginning at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 24. The service, which will feature special music for the first 30 minutes, is expected to last until midnight. 

Join us so we can be with you on the longest night. If you are having trouble finding joy in this most wonderful time of the year due to a loss of family, friends, job, or …, you are not alone. It is a worship service acknowledging that not everyone is happy this time of year. But may we help you find peace and comfort in Christ.
