Area residents are invited to The Table, a free community dinner, at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 8 at the Petersville United Methodist Church, located at 2781 N. 500 E. in Columbus.

This dinner is the first of what organizers hope will become a regular, monthly offering on the second Thursday of each month.

Open to all, the dinner is an opportunity to connect with others and enjoy a free meal, say organizers.

“This is a new adventure for us, and we are just getting started,” says Karen Mize, organizer with the church.
