Troy William Tedder, 88, Columbus

Troy William Tedder, 88, of Columbus passed away Tuesday January 9, 2024, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hope.

Born January 3, 1936, in Adair County, KY he was the son of Silas and Nettie Hamm Tedder.  He married Beverly Imel March 20, 1976, and she survives.

Before retirement Troy was employed in the office at Cummins Engine Company.

He had previously attended Hartsville United Methodist Church.  He was a 50-year member of Hope Masonic Lodge.

Troy enjoyed gardening, soft ball and traveling.  He was able to travel to many places in his lifetime.

Visitation for Troy will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Pastor Ed Cottrell.  There is visitation on Saturday from noon until service time.  Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated directly to a food bank of donor’s choice.

Troy is survived by his wife Beverly of Columbus; children, Teresa (Chuck) Heitman of Columbus, Jeanie (Larry) Pfeiffer of Freetown, Donnie (Kay) Tedder of Letts, Susan (Mike) Vincent of Edinburgh, Steve (Janice) Tedder of Hartsville, Roger (Donna) Tedder of Butlerville, Nina (Scott) Smith of Morgantown, Jackie (Erick) Mize of Elizabethtown and Jill Hughes of Columbus; fifteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Ann Talbott of Jeffersonville, Roy Lee (Laurene) Tedder of Campbellsville, KY, sister in law, Janet Tedder of Hope; brother in law, Herman Seaborne of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Nettie; siblings, Jesse Tedder, Elma Rouse, Bertha Forrest, Celestine Redmon, Dorothy Seaborne, Betty Kilby, Nora Jewel, Nannie Knifely; grandson, Denny Tedder and stepson, Garrett Norman.
