Hope area residents are invited out for an evening of worship, great food and company as Tim McNamee, founder of Blue Tassel Farm, and his team of volunteers offer an Angel Tree Camp Fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday at WILLow LeaVes of Hope, located at 326 Jackson St. in downtown Hope.

Angel Tree is a national Prison Fellowship program that helps to bring holiday cheer to children of incarcerated parents by giving gifts – purchased, wrapped and delivered by a host of volunteers – to the children in the name of their imprisoned parent, or parents.

The Angel Tree Camp, offered at Blue Tassel Farm, located in Butlerville, Ind., introduces at-risk children to camping and the great outdoors – things these kids have never seen before or had any experience with in a relatable, mundane way – and helps them to learn about the love of God through creature and creation, McNamee says.

The goal is to raise $12,000 to pay for the camp that will allow 20 kids to attend at no cost to them. All proceeds raised at this event will benefit the Angel Tree Camp at BTF.

Saturday's event will also feature a live auction, which includes a seven-day vacation package (accommodations only), as well as other items.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $10 per person. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the festivities and dinner beginning at 6 p.m. and the auction starts at 6:45 p.m.
